"I am a quadriplegic from a spinal cord injury. and swinging doors take room from my wheelchair and can be awkward to get through. I replaced my bedroom door with a pocket door and have have been using the Autoslide successfully for years until it recently stopped working. Autoslide customer service and repair department was awesome (thanks Brandon & David) in helping me to fix my unit and I am happily enjoying it's use again.. In fact I recently purchased the AutoSlide Ultimate Motion Activated Package to use on my bedrooms sliding-glass door. By doing so it gave me to programmable remotes that I use separately for each to manage its settings from my wheelchair which otherwise can only be done by an able - bodied person. I use the motion detectors for my pocket door in pet mode. It is quite the experience to now effortlessly go through two doors simultaneously in my own home that I previously have struggled with for years. I feel like I am on the Starship Enterprise!! Thank you Autoslide! One word of caution.: These are amazingly well thought out products and it did take me a while to really understand how to properly use the proper modes and set it all up but once do you will come to appreciate how well designed these door openers are."
"The motor was not securely connected to the frame. The motor seems to struggle at times opening the door. When it works it's great! - which is most of the time. My dogs and wife love it."
"Over all I love this product and would highly recommend it. I had to improvise some of the installation because my door frame did not conform to the requirements but with a little creativity I installed it and it works perfectly. I use it mostly so I can open and close the door while my hands are full carrying food out to the grill. Excellent product! Everyone who has a sliding door should have an Autoslide opener!"
